BCHL was originally
called the Barrie Christian Pond Hockey League, we played only at National Training Rinks in Barrie (Small pond).The Name was changed in 2005 when most of our games were played around the Barrie area.

league to shrink the nets in the Tim Bit Division (we made the first set of small nets and let NTR use our nets for 3 years before they had their set of mini nets
made)
- -was the first league in Ontario to have an all-inclusive Registration Fee, no additional fees charged after paying for season

- -was the first league to offer complimentary Team and Individual Photos as part of the registration fee
- -is the first league to have a Complimentary Inter-League Christmas Tournament before Christmas Break (there is no charge for all BCHL teams
in all divisions to play in the Christmas Tournament
- -was the first Non-Sanctioned League in Ontario
to start a “Rep” program
