BCHL Age Divisions:
To determine correct age group to register your
child in, age is determined by player's age as of December 31st, 2009. Strong
players may be moved up a division and weaker players may be moved down a
division at the discretion of the division convenor.

2009-2010 Season Registration Notes:
|
Registration for our
2009-2010 season is targeted to open online on April 15th, 2009. However,
actual opening may be subject to timely completion of updates to our
registration system currently being completed by our service provider. We
will provide notice on this page when online registration is officially open. |
|
On-line registration will be the only means for registering in
our league this year. We will not be accepting manual registration forms. |
|
It is our policy that
your child only plays in one league. |
|
Your registration should
be submitted by April 30th, 2009 in order to guarantee your position in our
league. After this date positions available in each division will be
filled on a first-come-first-served basis until all available positions have
been filled. |
|
Payment may be made by
Visa, MasterCard, or cheque. If you pay by cheque, your cheque must be received at the league office within seven (7)
business days
of registering on-line to confirm your registration, otherwise subsequent
registrations will be processed ahead of you, and in turn positions will be
filled by paid-up registrants first. Please have your payment information
ready before you start the on-line registration process. Players will not
be permitted to start the season until payment is received in full. |

If you are a
non-resident of Barrie or Springwater Township, we are required to collect an
additional $25 non-resident fee per player on behalf of the City of Barrie for
players playing on City of Barrie ice. At this time, this only applies to
Atom, PeeWee and Bantam divisions. |
|
Discounts are available
for families registering three (3) or more players in our league. |
|
We also offer a pastor
discount. If a parent of a player is actively pastoring in a church or Christian
School in Simcoe County and this is a primary source of family income, please
contact our
registration administration
before completing your on-line registration to see if you qualify and obtain
your discount code to enter in at time of registration. |
|
Late fees will
automatically be added by the on-line registration system as follows: May
16th, 2009 - $25; July 1st, 2009 - $50; August 16th, 2009 - $75; and October
1st, 2009 - $100. Don't delay.

A $30 fee will be added
to registration fees for all NSF cheques. |
|
You will receive
confirmation of your registration and payment automatically by e-mail
notification when you register. When paying by cheque, you will not
receive final registration and payment confirmation until your cheque is
received at the league office. |
|
Cancellation fees will
be withheld from refunds according to our Refund Policy outlined below. |
|
We do not impose fund
raising activities or fund raising quotas on families in our league in order to
supplement our registration fees. |
|
Your child should be
able to skate by the time the season starts. |
|
2009-2010 Season start
is planned for last week of September, but visit our website in early September
for confirmation which will be provided once our 2009-2010 ice contracts have
been confirmed. |
|
You will be notified by
your coach within two (2) weeks of season start with details on your team
placement and first game. |
|
We will issue receipts
to all registrants before the 2009 tax season in order for you to claim the
government child fitness tax credit. |
2009-2010 Registration Fees:

Ages (4-8): $345.00

Ages (9-10): $360.00

Ages (11 to 17): $390.00

Ages (18 to 20): $300.00

include game and practice time, hockey socks, standard picture package, BCHL Christmas Tournament,
and end-of-season trophy)
Note:
We do not require our league members to do fund
raising in order to supplement our registration fees.
Financial Assistance - Barrie
YMCA:
Barrie YMCA
Canadian Tire Jump Start /
Health Star Programs - Some excellent programs are available through the
Barrie YMCA providing financial assistance to help kids participate in organized
sport including participation in our league. The Canadian Tire Jump Start
Program and the YMCA Health Star program aim to engage children in activity who
may not otherwise have the financial means to do so. Go to the Barrie YMCA

Non-Resident Fee:
The City of Barrie requires that we collect a non-resident fee for all players
using city ice that live outside of the city limits. This does not apply to
players ages 4-10 playing at N.T.R. This fee is $25.00 above and beyond
our base registration fees. This will be added to your registration cost if
you are not a resident of Barrie or Springwater Township.
Late Fee:
Late fees will be
added to base registration fees as follows: May 16th, 2009 - $25; July
1st, 2009 - $50; August 16th, 2009 - $75; and October 1st, 2009 - $100.
Please register by May 15th to avoid late fee penalties and to help us meet our
deadlines for confirming ice time requirements, developing team rosters, and
preparing season schedule for season start end of September, 2009.
Cancellation Policy:
|
A $50 per registration
cancellation fee will be withheld from ALL refunds for cancellations requested
prior to September 1st, 2009.
|
|
Following the
September 1st, 2009 deadline, a $100 per registration cancellation fee will be
withheld from ALL refunds for cancellations requested up to November 1st, 2009.
|
|
Following November
1st, 2009 deadline, a cancellation fee equivalent to 50 per cent of total
registration fees will be withheld for cancellations requested up to December
31st, 2009.
|
|
No refunds will be
provided for cancellations after December 31st, 2009.
|
|
For all other
registration transactions, a minimum 10 per cent administrative fee will be
withheld from all refunds.
|
How To Pay:
Payment method will be
requested when you register on-line. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover
and payment by cheque (must be mailed in within 7 days of registering online).
A $30 charge will be
applied to registration fees for any NSF cheques.
Please make sure you
get your registration completed early to avoid disappointment or incurring late fees, and to help us with advance planning for next season.
